Our world is full of stories.
Are you listening?

Some stories are happy, some blue, some old and some new. Some stories spell doom, some bring cheer, some are unforgettable, and some, with time, simply disappear. Yet, all of them wish to be told. That’s why we, at RoRo Books, have embarked on a journey to discover and re-discover the world and share its ever-changing stories through our books.

Young Travelers, Big Cities

Every city has a story. When children explore a new city, its history, culture and heritage, they discover how differently, yet how similarly we all live. The Nanhe Musafir series of RoRo books helps young explorers connect to a place with its known and less known stories.

Jaipur Calling is such a beautifully thought-out children’s travel book. What I love most is how it introduces Jaipur through fun facts and visuals that even adults may not know, without ever feeling overwhelming. Although the book is aimed at children aged 6–13, I introduced it to my daughter when she was just 18 months old—not by reading it word for word, but by telling her little stories about the characters and exploring the illustrations together. She now knows that “Khamma Ghani” means hello, points at Bani Thani and says her name, and even once called Beyoncé “Bani Thani” after seeing her picture! Her absolute favourite page is the one filled with colourful Rajasthani food—she happily points and says ghewar, dal baati choorma, ker sangri, and lal maas.

This book introduces a new city without feeling instructional and is very easy for young readers to follow. The illustrations truly capture the spirit, colour, and culture of Jaipur. It’s not just a children’s book. I think even adults would find it an enjoyable and informative read.

The cultural richness and sense of place are beautifully captured. A thoughtful, well-crafted read that stays with you long after you turn the last page. Highly recommend!
